Bill Crowell came to a three-day school. Then he shot 70.

Bill tells it himself · 3 minutes

Bill had the problem most golfers our age have. He loved the game and his body had started charging him for it.

So he did what you have probably done. Lessons. Videos. Tips from a buddy. A new driver.

Then he came to a three-day Single Plane school, and the thing that changed wasn’t his effort. It was the number of moving parts he had to manage.

“One of the best experiences I've had is shooting seventy at the Muskogee Golf Course Country Club.”

— Bill Crowell

Oklahoma City · attended a 3-Day school

But the number isn’t the part he leads with when you ask him about it.

“To have a swing where I finish a round and my back doesn't hurt means everything to me. So I played thirty six before and come back right the next day.”

— Bill Crowell

Thirty-six holes, and back out the next morning. That is what a simpler motion buys you.

Overview

Our flagship 3-Day Fundamentals School is where most students begin their Single Plane journey. Over three immersive days, you'll learn the setup, positions, and swing mechanics that made Moe Norman the most accurate ball-striker in history. Small class sizes ensure personalized attention from certified instructors.

What Three Days Actually Buys

This is not a clinic. Nobody hits balls for six hours.

We never hit for more than fifteen or twenty minutes without stopping to teach. You will not go home worn out. You will go home with a motion you understand and a plan for practising it.

20–25 hours of instruction

Across three days — not three half-days with a long lunch.

7–8 of those hours one-on-one

A coach on you, working your swing, not a group demonstration you watch.

A guaranteed 4:1 student-to-coach ratio

In practice it usually runs 2:1 or 3:1, because Todd would rather over-staff a school than under-teach it.

Short game every morning, full swing every afternoon

Putting, chipping and pitching first — the motions that build the full swing.

Video analysis of your own swing

Reviewed with you in the classroom, not emailed afterwards.

Instructors who rotate through the group

Different coaches word the same thing differently until one version lands for you.

Lunch provided every day

You are not hunting for food on your break.

A full set of training materials

The technical manual, notebook, putting string, and the drills to take home.

Before You Decide

The four things people tell us they’re worried about

“I’m too old for this.”

The average student at our schools is in their fifties and sixties. If you are in your forties, you are one of the young ones — and the Single Plane motion exists precisely because a body with some mileage on it cannot repeat a two-plane swing.

“So many of my buddies have quit because of their backs ... But, you know, as I said, I'm eighty five, so I'm still rolling.”

— Ernest Koerner

Age 85

“I’ve barely played. I’ll hold everyone up.”

About a quarter of our students are women and plenty arrive as near-beginners whose goal is simply to break 100. With seven or eight hours of one-on-one time, you are not being paced by the room — a coach comes to you.

“One is I'm sixty seven, so I guess we worry about flexibility. We worry about injuries, etcetera. The other was that I really hadn't played golf. ... It was like, can it really be that simple?”

— Mike Kay

Age 67, new to golf

“I’ve watched all the videos already.”

Most of our students have. The videos teach you the model. They cannot see what your hands are doing at address, and they cannot tell you the one adjustment that unlocks the rest.

“The most valuable notes I've taken are the ones with stars next to them when one of these guys walked up to me and said, hey, Shane, take that thumb a quarter inch to the right. That's invaluable. You know, you can't get that by reading a book.”

— Shane Matzen

Former high-school coach · 35 years self-taught · first school

Shane tells it himself · his first school, including his swing analysis

“Will it actually lower my score?”

We are not going to promise you a number. What we can show you is what students report after one school, in their own words.

“I went to the Graves Academy school last year and I immediately saw seven to ten strokes off my game with chipping, putting and some fairway.”

— Jim O'Donnel

Returned to golf after multiple surgeries

“In September twenty nineteen was the last time I recorded a score and it was one hundred and fifteen. In June of twenty twenty one I recorded ninety eight.”

— Phyllis Conces

Barely played in between — indoor training on the fundamentals

Phyllis tells it herself · 3 minutes

One more, from a student who has been coming for sixteen years and has now been to roughly fifteen schools:

“I could video myself a hundred times and look at that video and read the book and look at the video and read the book and look at the video and not see what they see.”

— Steve Mains

16-year member · ~15 schools attended

A school that hasn’t filled yet is the one you want

We bring the same number of coaches whether five students show up or twenty. The ratio we guarantee is 4:1. On a school that is half full it runs closer to 2:1 — which means more hours with a coach standing beside you, for exactly the same tuition. Some of the best schools we have ever taught were the smaller ones.
